Hi 👋 I’m Alex Mack, Vancouver mountain photographer

I connect communities with the outdoors, and brands with communities.

I'm a mountain photographer, ACMG apprentice hiking guide and high-altitude physiologist based out of Vancouver, British Columbia. From the peaks of the Canadian Rockies to the coastlines of BC, I capture landscapes and stories through digital and 35mm film photography.

It all started in 2004, shooting Toronto's punk rock scene. Fast forward: I moved to British Columbia to complete my PhD at UBC and fell in love with the mountains. I've since travelled the world, completed a post-doc and now shifted to full-time creative, guide and fine art print maker.

My work tells the story of connection, adventure and stoke for the outdoors.

clients & brands.

Most outdoor content and messaging feels manufactured, leaving communities craving real stories…

I bring brand stories to life through authentic, experience-driven visual storytelling that inspires, educates and aligns communities with the brand.

services.

I create brilliant work that works brilliantly for you: from telling your story authentically through my lens, to documenting mountain-based events and hosting educational clinics; planned with precision, delivered with efficiency, and infused with genuine stoke.
